2012 All-District Band Appalachian State University ~ February 24-26, 2012
We are looking forward to working with Appalachian State University and hosting the first combined middle and high School Northwest North Carolina All-District Band Clinic in Boone this year. We are very fortunate to have Mr. Scott Rush, director of the Wando High School in Mt. Pleasant, SC, as the clinician of the 11-12 grade symphonic band. Mrs. Alice Aldredge who is the director of bands at Northwest Cabarrus Middle School will be conducting the 9-10 symphonic band. Conducting our 9-12 concert band will be our Award of Excellence recipient, Mr. Jim Kirkpatrick, director of bands at West Forysth High School. Mrs. Connie Weeks will be joining us to conduct the middle school symphonic band. Mrs. Weeks is one of the band directors at Asheville in Asheville, NC. Mr. Carson Vermillion, director of bands at Science Hill High School in Johnson City, TN, will be directing the middle school concert band.

Overnight Accommodations
You are responsible for making your own reservations and should do so as soon as possible. As stated in our by-laws, all directors are required to stay in the same hotel as their students. Registration Fee
Middle School - $20 PER STUDENT High School - $25 PER STUDENT
Please prepare ONE school or band booster check or money order (personal checks will NOT be excepted) for each level that you have students participating (High School / Middle School) made out in the appropriate amount, payable to Northwest District Bandmasters Association. Middle school clinic registration will be held in the lobby of the Broyhill Conference Center (BCC) (formally the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center) which is located at the top of Bodenheimer Dr., up the hill from the Hayes School of Music. High School clinic registration will be in the lobby of the Broyhill Music Center (BMC). Registration will begin at 9:00am on Friday, February 24. The band director must be present to register students and must attend all clinic activities. You must submit a Medical History/Behavior Contract for each student at registration.

Parking
Buses may park along Rivers Street in front of the Broyhill Music Center and Farthing Auditorium. Parking is available for a personal vehicles in non-gated parking lots around the music building or in the Rivers Street Parking Deck. Please dot not park in the loading deck area between BMC and Farthing or in the drop-off circle in front of BMC.
